The attention to detail and care you have put into this lovely home is visible everywhere. There is no substitute in making a guest feel more at home away from home. Thank you! We have visited this area many times but this was our first stay on the Sonoma side, and we liked it better than staying Napa Valley. We drove around the area and but will be back again to explore it further. Than you again for a comfortable stay. Allen & Mondana Chong **** Wow what a great place to hang your hat. This house is gorgeous, truly Tuscan with the feel of wine country splendor – from the gourmet kitchen to the outdoor spa we felt completely spoiled and thrilled by our chance to spend a week enjoying all the luxuries of this home in the Glen Ellen countryside.Bravo! Brandon & Jacquie **** We had such a great time during our stay here – the villa is very cozy and beautiful. I enjoyed watching the different birds on the patio and eating our breakfast in such peaceful surroundings! We ate at LaRoque in Rutherford. Food outstanding but very pricey. The best place we ate was the Ledson Hotel on the square in Sonoma. Lovely atmosphere inside or outside dining and food light and delicious. The Mexican restaurant, LaCasa was very good too! Benziger is definitely the most beautiful winery in Sonoma. We shared a tasting of the reserve wines a at couple place – worth doing if offered – the different was incredible! Tom & Julie Horbinski **** We arrived Friday early evening, so we could really appreciate the beauty of the surroundings with the sounds of the creek running as we sat with champagne on the deck. We decide to take your recommendation and dined in town at the Glen Ellen Inn what a wonderful experience of cuisine and service. The gorgeous detail of this villa is delightful the colors warm and cozy. p.s. Loved the hot soak in the spa. Oh yes and the Jacuzzi tub, Wow! Ron & Marie Cassero **** Sanctuary in the wine country!We spent our 5-year wedding anniversary at this most wonderful villa. Thank you! “Dolcevita” (sweet life) is our life and this house was a wonderful place to celebrate. We slept, drank, hiked and relaxed. All the things we never got to at home with 2 babies. This villa is a sanctuary of peace. We will return again, just us 2 to rejuvenate. Mia **** What a wonderful place to rest and play. We stayed from Saturday to Tuesday morning. Our visit was filled with sight seeing through the Sonoma vineyards, and quiet moments in the quaint little restaurants. It was great to be able to slip into the spa tub to beginning and end of the day. This is a very beautiful space to stay. It feels like a home away from home. Thanks for the love and care.Alisa Duke & Yvonne Welbon **** We had a ball here, the house is amazing, we stayed Friday to Sunday, we wanted a break from the city and Silicon Valley. Boy, did we chill out here! Friday, we cooked in the great kitchen, enjoyed some bottles of wine and ended our romantic evening in the hot tub! Saturday we walked from here through Glen Ellen Village (very quaint) and up to and around Jack London State Park, a beautiful walk on a sunny day in the evening, we had a snack from the Glen Ellen Market and dined in a local restaurant. Today we are off to sample some wine at Benzinger and champagne in Gloria FerroLove this place. Love Sonoma! Thank you. Sarah Byre and Lee Darris **** We enjoyed our three-day stay here at the Doclevita Villa, our first was spent in Sonoma checking out the town square and shopping. Day two was an awesome ride and gourmet meal on the Napa Valley Wine Train. The service was excellent! Day three was totally relaxing with a visit to Benzinger Winery and Jack London State Park. In the afternoon we visited two beautiful wineries, St. Francis and Chateau St. Jean. Jim & Laura Stewart **** What a lovely 3 days and 2 nights. Doclevita Villa is peaceful tranquil, we breath more deeply and slowly here. It was fun to visit local wineries, drive the rural roads of Sonoma valley and Alexander Valley and sample lunch and dinner at the restaurants nearby. We enjoyed a delicious bottle of 2002 cabernet at the Charles Creek tasting room on the Sonoma Square. Lunch at John Ash & Company in Santa Rosa and dinner at the Glen Ellen Inn was spectacular! Vine & Kal Wall **** We came here for some R&R and found exactly what we were looking for in your beautiful decorated and comfortable villa. We enjoyed hiking and visiting Jack London State Park and also visited Sugarloaf Park and hiked to the waterfall and soaked in the very cool pools.**** Of course we enjoyed visiting the beautiful wineries and the tour of Benzinger is a must see. The soaks in the hot spa and Jacuzzi tub just added to calm us into gentle sleep and relaxation. A peaceful pace, we look forward to return too. Marshall & Sally & family **** We’ve spent a lovely three days here in the Sonoma Valley. Eating…drinking…a big of exercise…and most of all enjoying for my first time the “wine country experience”. The lack of crowds and traffic on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday provide a peaceful and unhurried backdrop within which to visit wineries and countryside.Thank you for the use of the villa. Fireplace was wonderful and to wake up to the tranquil surroundings was such a treat. We ate at the Glen Ellen nn and it was so nice. Chandon was our favorite winery as we love the bubbles. Coppola’s was filled with history and I loved that…Artisa had the most beautiful vistas.Were off today to Benzinger and few others before heading home. Thanks for a wonderful retreat. Steve & Karin Foster **** What a great time we had! So many wineries so little time! The weather was fabulous and the house is perfect for two couples. The gourmet kitchen was well used for breakfast, banana nut pancake an Italian dinner with vino and the daily “getting the cheese and cracker ready” for the winery stops. The tram tour of Benziger is amazing – view for ever and the best wines! Karen and Blue and Vera & Jonathan **** We came from Hawaii, Seattle, and Portland to have a girl’s getaway, go winery hopping, eat, shop & drink lots of wine! Ledson was gorgeous, Benzinger’s tram tour was enlightening. Imagery was artsy and the wine at all of them was great! Mayo winery was close and open late. **** We loved the villa. We used the hot tub every night. The kitchen is well-equipped and the fresh ground roast coffee was heavenly!We had a great time and could have spent another week trying to visit all the wineries.
